How Transport VCDB aligns charging capacity with daily operations

Transport Van Caudenberg - Debrouwer is making the move to electric transport in Wavre. With the arrival of their first electric Scania, they needed a charging solution that not only provides sufficient power but, more importantly, fits their daily operations: slow charging when there is time, and fast charging when needed.

The Challenge

Transport Van Caudenberg - Debrouwer was looking for a scalable charging solution for their first electric truck, without locking themselves into a setup that would hinder future expansion. The available charging capacity needed to be flexibly adjusted to the fleet's schedule and actual charging requirements.

The Solution from MEGA Charge®

Scalable DC charging infrastructure: MEGA Charge® installed a Sungrow 480 kW Power Unit with two satellites, ready to grow along with the further electrification of the fleet.
Charging based on actual needs: charging power is tailored to operations. Slow charging during longer periods of downtime, with the option to top up quickly when a truck needs to get back on the road.
From design to daily monitoring: MEGA Charge® managed the entire process, from design and implementation to commissioning, backend integration, and ongoing operational support.

The Result

The first e-truck is now operational: the electric Scania is charged on-site daily, using a charging strategy aligned with the truck's actual schedule and power requirements.
Ready to grow: with 480 kW of available capacity and two satellites, Transport VCDB has a scalable foundation that can expand alongside the further electrification of their fleet.
